Observer: Living in the 90's forever!
“ON Friday, June 26th, McClatchy (MNI) lost 32.4% of its value in a single session, closing down 22 to 46 cents. It was as if traders couldn’t dump MNI fast enough. Volume soared to 5.5 million shares — five times the normal turnover in a session.”
In fact over 3.5 million shares were dumped just after the closing bell sot that should give you an idea what a deal I got when, for fun, I bought 5 thousand shares so I could then make fun of the Observer without it appearing I was being too callous with my hopes of seeing them actually turn the paper around and become a local paper interested in all of us and not just the downtown special interest, elected officials and rich people.
So from now on I am one of the owners of McClatchey and The Charlotte Observer. Desperation will now fill my articles….. oh wait why not just go on like the Observer and pretend the party is still in full swing. Yes that is how we will approach this from now on. Buying this stock has made me think like them.
So what if the company has no money and no one wants it stock swap. The Observer will keep ignoring the little people and we little people will keep trying to get them to notice us.
